CT...you are absolutely correct, that was a raccoon track. That was an easy one, huh? Well the next one wont be so easy lol.
Today G'pa and I were headed out to feed early this morning. Just as we got to the end of the drive he said "look" deer. Right ahead of us, there were 3 deer, looking right at us. Of course I had my trusty camera with me so I snapped a few pictures of them. They just kept about their business of eating and looking around for a while and then Lady skeered em away.
I went down to the back to see if I could see them again, but no luck. I started fishing, even though it was on about 40 degrees out. My hands were cold but the fish were biting and I caught about 10-15 bass. Nice size ones too. On Sunday's G'pa and I watch fishing and hunting shows on TV. They were talking about using "crank bait" to catch fish in Canada. I figured if it works in the cold up there, it might work here. So I found a box of them G'pa had bought off ebay and put them in the golf cart to try. I tried alot of different ones, one skimmed along the top of the water and made waves like, it was cool but nothing hit on it. I found this cute lil one that was blue and kinda looked like a real fish, so I tried it. Success!!!! That's what I used to catch em all with.
We still don't have any new baby calves...I'll have to just keep checking. Right before the momma cows have baby's there udders fill up with milk, so you can kinda watch for that. We have 2 that are "bagged up" so those are the ones I'm keeping my eyes on. Hopefully soon!
