Last week we went and picked up my new horse. Her name is Sugah (that's what Gpa calls me).
She's a beautiful horse. We took her to a man named Red Roper to "gentle down". He is the same man that helped train the horse Trigger. I thought that was really cool. We put her in the back pasture with Dixie, Gpa's horse. Dixie has a "little" bit of an attitude and she is the big dog horse here and she let Sugah know it. Soon we will find someone to "ride" her so she is ridable for me. I can't wait.
This morning I went out back and went fishing. It's colder here in the mornings now, in the high 60's. The fishing was good, not great but good. I caught a bunch of small bass. I like them, there easy to get off the hook lol.
Our Momma cows are getting ready to calf again soon, I am so looking forward to having babies again. Starting in October they should start calving. Some are getting really big already.
The kittens have grown. I gave 4 of them to Grandma / Gpa Herring for his barn. I know they will have food and be happy.
Gpa has been busy cutting hay. He leaves early in the morning and doesn't get home till supper time. I sure do miss him when he's gone all day.
Gram's doing great. She just had company from Ohio for a few days, it wore her out but she does enjoy visiting. They went to the quilt show at the fair. Two of her ceramic pieces won 2nd place. I'm very proud of her.
My beautiful "Sugah"
