The momma cows are now having babies again. So far we have 4, 3 girls and a boy. When we bought them last year, we bought them already bred, so every time they had a calf it was a surprise as to what it would look like. We got red, black, brown and yellow ones. This year we used our own bull and every baby looks alike lol. It's really tough to tell them apart. Gpa tries to get down there and tag them as soon as there born. They can't get up and run on the first day so you have to be there and get it done quick. Some of them we just never get tagged. Either the calf won't let us or the momma doesn't want us to get close to them.
One of our new calves, yep they all look like this.
Back in the back we have a low spot that always fills with water when it rains. It's always soggy down there. Gpa has a friend who has his own bulldozer and we paid him to come over and dig it out. He did it last Tuesday, and guess what it rained for the next 2 days. We now have a pond back there. It's great. Next year were gonna put some fish / minnows in it.
Gpa had a birthday yesterday. Happy birthday sweetpea, your not getting older, your getting better. I love you with all my heart.
Maegan, my oldest grand daughter had a birthday also. Happy seventeen. We love you.
