New news...we have had several new babies since I last posted, 4 to be exact. Unfortunately one did not make it. The momma's go into the woods to be alone to have their babies. To get back to the herd they have to cross a ravine. Most of the time there wouldnt be any water in it, but we have had quite a bit of rain. Her momma tried crossing in a really bad spot, and she could'nt make it and fell back into the water and drown. Grandpa spent a whole day trying to find her, finally he did and it made him sad. We have 3 other new ones though, 2 girls, and a boy. We still have about 6 momma waiting to deliver, so I am still very excited. I love each and everyone of them.
Grandpa tried his hand at hatching eggs again. This time we had more success. 6 of them hatched and so we now have 6 lil roosters or chickens. I can't tell the difference yet, but neither can Grandpa, so we'll just have to wait until they grow a bit. Grandpa set up a cage in the lil barn beside the house with feed, water, and a heat lamp to keep them warm. I checked on em today and they seem quite happy. They really grow fast though.
It seems like everyday I go to the back now I see deer, coyotes, and a new baby lol. We have seen up to 10 deer at a time. They arent afraid of us, but Lady or Buddy run after them when they see them and then they run away. Darn dogs!!!
Gram and I both had the flu. Me first then Gram. She was so sick Grandpa had to bring her to the emergency room. Everything checked out and all she had was flu, but it was hard on her. Grandpa didnt get it and that makes me happy.
