We used to have a place to cross over to the other part of the pasture. It was clear at the other end, and it was the only way to get to the back of our land. It worked great in the winter, but we've had so much rain lately that the power of the rain kept washing it out. Hence, leaving us without a way to get to the other side by vehicle to check the cows. The mommma cows always go over there in the woods to have their babies. So Gpa thought about it for a while, cause he had to find a place where it wasn't too far over and able to be filled in. Then he had to consider how and what to use to fill it in. He could keep using dirt to fill it, but then that would just wash out like the other one did. Today he built us a bridge across it out of old railroad ties. It only took him a few hours to complete it. Once he was finished we gathered up big rocks and put around the outside of it. Then we took a test drive across it. IT WORKED!!!! I will be so happy to be able to drive the golf cart over to the other side.
