Fishing????

Today I went to the Ranch, we needed to do a head count on all the cows we have at the present. We have 46 momma and babies, a total of 92, now thats a lot of counting. I had a sheet I made up with all there tag numbers and a place to make a mark for the babies / mommas. There not always togather so it makes it harder sometimes. It took me about 90 minutes to do that. They were all present and accounted for.

Its still verrrrrrrry hot here, but when your in the golf cart theres a nice breeze. So I didnt mind much. I wasnt very smart though cause I wore sandals, and my toes were getting sunburned. I'm still not used to the intense heat here.

Gpa was cutting a hay field so I decided while I was there I would try some fishing. I had bought some new lures, so I was excited to try them. This is a rather big lake, but there is only a small area you can fish from. The rest of it is circled in trees ( I'll take a picture next time I'm down there so you can see what I'm talking about). Well with my toes already firey hot, I had to stand under a tree to fish. I caught one rather big bass right off the bat. I casted out and wanted to let my drag off a bit so I quit reeling and changed it, just then I got a bite. Reeled it in, a CATFISH!!

I hate taking them off the hook. Luckily I had an old glove in the back and I used it to hold it so it couldnt fin me. Next I casted out and.....guess what......A TURTLE. Yes I caught a small turtle, by the foot none the less. I was afraid to cast again, the only thing left was a snake, and that I DID NOT WANT!!!!!!
