Trail Ride

Yesterday Gpa and I went to a trail ride / benefit for a local man who has cancer. He is a friend of Gpa & Grandma Herring. Gpa helped with setting up and getting things to auction off. Grandma Herring did the most. She really has a talent to get people to donate. There was 3 kinds of stew, cooked in big pots over open fires. Yummy. I'm guessing there were more than 150 people there, and Grandma H said they raised over 18 thousand dollars. Gpa and I bought alot of stuff. We won a beautiful quilt that Ida made, I already have it on the bed even.

We had a wonderful time, and it's always great fun getting together with your friends, and meeting new people. I love being around people.
